I suspect this is coming from someone who has never even had a driver's license...
Say that to someone that relies on their car for their living... Or needs to travel for health care or any number of other things not even getting to the point that the person BOUGHT a car and another one STOLE their property.
All theft has a victim and it is NOT the person committing the theft ever.. (That is, unless, they are taking their property back from someone that stole it from them).
