When I was a kid everything was glass, seems so much more sanitary.
My dad used to get ', they came in a divided wooden crate. Paid a deposit, save and return the bottles when you got another case.
No plastic, no waste, except the bottle caps, but a lot of us collected them and made stuff out of them, or they just rusted away. (How many remember ? 😄)
Maybe we should go back to the returnable glass bottle system.
