Pretty sure the event was no minors without an attending adult, so wherever their guardian was - they had to know about it.
The stuff they were wearing was 100% sexual fetish gear. That much skin should have triggered the event saying something, but I remember them wandering around the entire 3 days. It really surprised me at the time, but now I know why.

Yes it has. I really enjoyed going to conventions like this, but they all started getting political and sexual.
Granted, sex was always a part of an event like this, especially on the party floor where alcohol flowed like water, but not like that. That was just creepy.
