I used to attend a local sci-fi con years ago. Last time I went there were two young boys, looked like twins of maybe 13 wandering around in leather thongs and harnesses and sandals. Nothing else.
Never went back, that was my "I don't really want to be associated with this" moment.
I should point out this was almost 20 years ago.
WTAF? Where were the parents?
Pretty sure the event was no minors without an attending adult, so wherever their guardian was - they had to know about it.
The stuff they were wearing was 100% sexual fetish gear. That much skin should have triggered the event saying something, but I remember them wandering around the entire 3 days. It really surprised me at the time, but now I know why.
Good grief, man.
And it's only gotten worse.
