They are only acting like a court. They are not a court. They are just a committee. They have no obligation to provide exculpatory evidence. These are partisan political events that are expected to be bi-partisan. If one party says something untrue, it is the responsibility of the other party to call it out. No one is defending the rights of the accused. It is nothing more than an obvious kangaroo court.
