14 weeks is a bit too far out for my tastes.
My hard cutoff is 12 weeks. Meaning, I think they should make it federal law that no state is allowed to permit abortions (except for the provisions outlined above that France figured out decades ago) after 12 weeks.
I also think no one should abort (except for the provisions mentioned priorly) for any reason.
Question: do you think a woman should get to abort if she's pregnant from a rape? I do.

There's where you and I disagree. The Federal government should stay out of it, unless a law enacted in one state causes harm to another.

Yes, I do.
Then some states could make abortion up to 9 months legal if the federal government doesn't put a limit on the states.
I think abortion after 12 weeks should be considered murder unless for medical reasons or rape.

Yes. Some states would certainly be able to do that. The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
I'm not one to readily agree to the expansion of the Federal government, even to allow them to do something I'd agree with.

I agree with you. I also think far more people agree with that statement than the media presents. (And no, I don't have anything other than anecdotal evidence to support that belief.)
