i wouldnt say the prosecutors suck at their jobs, they actually did a decent job(aside from the withholding of evidence). the problem is they were given the worst possible hand with one of the most politicized trials in recent memory, they need the win to look good but making blatantly false statements is the show of desperation. from what i can tell is they want a mistrial so no precedent is set
