I have to believe the people running the administration know the mandate will be shot down but they're ramping up the pressure on companies anyway to coerce them into compliance while they can. Get as many people vaxxed as possible before the window closes. Companies don't want or need the hassle of forcing their employees to get the shot, so they're using the "mandate" to shift the blame onto the government.

I had this conversation with a buddy of mine who works for a city agency and got the jab. He and his coworkers are documenting any and all side effects, headaches, body aches, odd health-related happenings, etc. There is a lot of overlap and they have engaged a law firm to look into possibly suing the city, as well as their managers and supervisors personally.
