I really believe that trans should not compete in women's sports because they are not women. Any one who thinks that they don't have an unfair advantage is an idiot.
But then I see this pic in the article:
Look at the pic and look at the running form from the two men and compare it to the running form from the three women. The two men look like that have trained for this and have great form. All three of the women have lousy form. It's like they have never had a coach point out their form problem. It's like they just walked in off the street and were like "How hard can running be? been doing it my entire life... let's give this a shot!"
Nothing is going to change my belief that biological males have an unfair physical advantage but in this one pic it looks like the two males are the only ones that put in any training effort.
I don't know that running form should even matter.
Running form is the direct result of athletic training and practice. You think that in a contest of athletics, athletics training should not matter? Not sure you thought that one through.
I agree that the men have an unfair advantage and should not have been eligible to compete... but I am also say that it looks like the women just don't take their sport seriously and are only in it for the scholarship money.
I'm not saying the guys aren't better trained. I'm saying that they shouldn't be running against girls, regardless of how well the girls run.
Poorly trained girls running against poorly trained girls is why the sport is less popular than men's track.
