Public "schools" have been indoctrination centers for a long time now. It was difficult and costly but one of the best decisions we ever made was to send our son to a private Christian school. My my hope would be that if that happened at my kids school he would call me so I could come rescue him.

Real scholastic education has nothing to do with "public" school anymore.

This is why public schools are dying: to improve the quality and standards expected of teachers.
