In Genesis it says there were many trees (genetic lines) but some were forbidden (fallen ones, Nephilim [their hybrids]). Cain was the first Nephilim of mankind.
Adam wasn't the first human. Adam was the first of his kind. Adam means "man", beginning of mankind. Adam was the first of mankind. Adam was of the dirt (Earth) and we were made in His image.
When Cain is exiled there are already people in Nod (East of Eden).
People are frequently told Ham is the progenitor of the dark races. We know this is not true. Genetics says it's not true (out of Africa propaganda). I believe they actually mean the Arab races (mixed), not all humans. Genetics also supports this.
