Interesting point, that they very well MAY have had a warrant...just not for her. They may have needed information from her to serve the warrant elsewhere, because the person or property had fled or been hidden. Either way: NEVER talk to the police, they're never your friend.

Covered camera is a new tactic for a new "perceived threat." It was a surprise tactic on the cops side. Can't see who's out there, the civilian occupant could be more likely to open the door/give away the fact that they are indeed home. (Cops think themselves smart, see civilians as dumb enemies.) Told to leave, cops claimed they had a warrant, but still left. Cops will not leave anywhere if they have a warrant. They may step away, regroup or await a breach team/swat, but they're not leaving. This looks like a typical: Knock on door- Answer door- Hi, we just want to talk/ask you a few questions, can you step outside- Kind of interaction. Don't answer the door. If you do so armed, they'll kill you- it's what they're trained to do. Never step outside. Outside is where you can and will loose your castle doctrine rights.
What interested me most is the civilian's claim that the cops had pointed rifles at them. Did that happen? Also, why? Did they have a warrant? If not, was any action taken against the female officer? (Fuck yeah, I just assumed that dumb cunt cop's gender.) X (pressed for doubt.)
Could you imagine just what would happen if all cops were suddenly treated in this manner during every single interaction with the general public? I can. My imagination is a wonderful thing.
