The phrase is "You can't eat your cake and have it, too.". The other way around is pointless. You MUST have it to eat it, but having eaten it you cannot any longer have it.
This translation is wiser in many ways.
you see the 'too'? It means both. Makes the ordering irrelevant.
You CAN have your cake and also (too) eat it, if that's what you choose to do with it
You CANNOT eat your cake yet still possess it as well (externally, at least), for the eating of it destroys it.
"Having your cake and eating it, too" is inherently possible. "Eating your cake and having it, too" is inherently impossible.
Ordering does matter.
Nigger please. While you're eating, it's both, unless you eat in 1 bite, so this is all fucking gay as fuck. Point is, you can't have it, and have eaten it. Ordering is not a factor.
