I was just wondering, do you know how expat-friendly Croatia is?
I've been in Croatia for a month this summer and got a chance to talk briefly to a few of them.
The ones I met were "digital nomads" who did some part-time work for extra income during tourist season, mostly service staff in restaurants.
They were all mainly millennials and some zoomers, all White Europeans. Language wise they were still learning Croatian or didn't speak it at all, but said it's no issue since a lot of people in Croatian speak good English. This is because it's taught in schools as mandatory second language since we have a huge tourists industry.
I've heard stories of digital nomads from Western and Northern Europe buying cheap property in rural areas and building self sustainable houses, gardens, solar panels, that kind of stuff, and still not having issues with language.
So White flight to Croatia is definitely happening and I encourage it 100%, as well as other Croats that I've talked to do. A lot of right wingers think that we should take in White refugees from South Africa, but it won't happen anytime soon.
