I agree that it's a distraction, but I don't think they are doing it because the goyim are worked up.
I think they are deliberately letting the goyim complain about jewish rule (by not censoring as much) and opening up the floodgate of anger that's built up. Next they false flag something violent. Then they point back at all of the "hate speech" (from when they lifted the censorship). Then they make their move to take away our freedom of speech.

I'd like to add that there could also be a move to allow a certain level of jew-hating to go on so that diaspora jews can be called back to israel for the preparations of the third temple prophecy. There are already preparations to have the red heifer sacrifice to pave the way to the third temple being rebuilt. There's also the aggression with the arabs and the aggressive push towards removing apefrican migrants and culling palestinians for more jewish settlements.
