Yep.

Me too. I was a powerlifter back the and still now and among the fittest members of the brigade. My BMI put me in obese category while I was completely fit with low body fat. Most people doing just the military prescribed training had no chance to keep up with me during field training and forced marches. I still maintain that fitness level, but can lift more of course.

Outstanding. I've always been a big dude. Shot, discus, offensive and defensive lineman through school. Ground pounder in the military. Push pull and sit ups in the bag but never maxed the run. But toss a ruck on me and give me a compass, watch out and try to keep up. Embraced jits and muay thai in my 30s and 40s. Decided active longevity is my goal for the last half of my life and anything antithetical to that needed to be jettisoned. So, ditched the oly bars and embraced kettlebells, maces, club and dumbbells and the whole functional fitness ethos. Now in my 6th decade of life with a retinue of skull bangery injuries and surgeries on the roster of record, yoga is my path to ROM and joint suppleness and sabre drills my savage martial pursuit. I've catabolized lbs but am still considered obese as per BMI, which is laughable and illustrates what utter antiquated half truth bullshit BMI is and always was.

Very good, looks like you have decades of experience in various forms of exercise.

Don't know if you noticed, but I stared a new sub today . Considering the "tribe and train" mentality, I think we are doing a good job on Poal at promoting the "tribe" part, but "train" is definitely lacking.

I could send you a mod invite if you would be interested in posting there?
