Many people think that amish are some isolated, cult like weirdos with strict restrictive rules in their community.
While they do have rules they live by, when you really look them up it's just a bunch of people living completely normal, easy going and fulfilling lives with a strong sense of community and integrity.
If we all lived our lives like that jews would have to either pack up and leave or starve to death.
Their biggest strength is that they have a clear idea of what it means to be one of them and being one of them means something. They don’t hate outsiders but they treat us differently than their own.
