You don't want The Powers That Be to be able to drain your batteries remotely as your sole means of transportation "charges"? I bet you're one of those luddites who don't even want to buy a ridiculous, overpriced, explosion-prone overgrown golfcart — I mean "state of the art electric vehicle".
