Women are attracted most of all to high social status. They desire the males who command the largest share of the group’s resources. In modern times, wealth is a proxy for high social status. If you use your intelligence directly to gain high social status women will desire you. If you use it to toil away designing bridges or nuclear reactors women will only desire you if those things happen to bring you high social status that is visible to them.
