Living in a city, especially a big city is cancer to the soul.

Sadly I am not where I was when we did this but one time we took some "city" family out on a dirt road. No houses/lights for miles.

Got out of the car and told them that I was going to turn off the lights and to not freak out.

They had no idea what the night sky is supposed to look like. It was a life changing event.

I miss the sky.

The point of space is to trick us into believing that everything on this earth has been discovered, and the only place left to go is "out into space". Which, conveniently, is impossible for anything but the imagination to wander into.
