There’s a story about the famous Williams sisters taking on a low ranked male pro tennis player in a quiet, practice game. They apparently found it amusing and interesting how he was able to beat them—they said he was much better at chasing down hard returns. I don’t think they had illusions of being able to compete against a male player. No feelings were hurt.
