So, when it comes to math my brain is basically nigger tier. However I scored decently in other classes. How does one teach a class they don't completly comprehend? Grade and middle school math I would be fine, anything more than geometry I'd be lost.
My fiance wants to homeschool when the time comes and I don't know how useful I would be or how it works.
That's the least of your problems. Kids will learn, you'll be just fine, you have to reprogram your brain about learning.
I'll tell you the honest truth. I'm the same with math. I'm a creative type.
I gave two of my kids math books when they were children. They ate them up.
They both have masters degrees, one an engineer, one in business.
If it had been up to me, to teach them math, it would have been a disaster.
If they're math oriented they'll eat it up, if not, who cares, their talent will show in something else, pursue that.
Trust me it's not complicated. Public school is what squelches kids' desires for learning.
I guess you could use internet/youtube to find what you need, or maybe even see if there are groups of parents that homeschool that support each other?
