I'll tell you the honest truth. I'm the same with math. I'm a creative type. I gave two of my kids math books when they were children. They ate them up. They both have masters degrees, one an engineer, one in business. If it had been up to me, to teach them math, it would have been a disaster. If they're math oriented they'll eat it up, if not, who cares, their talent will show in something else, pursue that. Trust me it's not complicated. Public school is what squelches kids' desires for learning.
