I still won't have a house. I have savings to keep me going until probably running back to my mom, but it's not enough for a house, especially since I am on my own. I can't risk a mortgage on a single income. And rent is insane now, I can't imagine later. I haven't gotten anything more as a raise than "standard inflation" which is between 2 and 4% in 8 years. While my rent, in the same place, has almost doubled. Plus my boss is so excited about replacing us with AI.
