Weaponization of information is about to go big. The AI tools, for free, around the Internet, allow you to take a single picture of someone you kno2, or a celebrity or politician, and put them in a porno. If you do it right, it looks pretty real.
These 'real' looking deep fakes are already circulating.
This will lead to real time filters of tons of media and the level of unreality is gearing up to be a hyperreal nightmare.

The point is that reality will not be easily ascertained... and for most people... this is a current problem.
They could have claimed that before deep fakes existed and just pointed out that they have unreleased AIs to do such things.
