They're here because the U.S loves the "underdog" and a disgraced royal and his house nigger wench is pretty much the ultimate in that respect. Plus they can get rich on their - um, whatever they have to offer- I certainly don't know what it is, like that tv show family that just got busted for tax fraud. Americans will suck up to anything.
