After WWII, many Germans were shipped off to east Russian labor camps. Among the things these prisoners were forced to do was construction of apartment buildings that they knew they would never live in themselves. To this day those German built apartment building are prized and considered better than those built by other prisoners or even "free" Russians.
Now go look at the Jewish ghettos in Russian. These places never had fine art, architecture, or engineering. They didn't have sophisticated legal systems. They didn't have intricate financial organizations that allowed their people to prosper. For a people that supposedly have such an aptitude for art, law, and finance; none of that is evident when left alone. In fact, you'll notice a lack of sophistication both in the legal and financial sectors because they rightly don't trust each other.
It's almost like their success on only due to other factors like cheating and nepotism.
