I was in San Franshitsco in 2007 and then in 2009, and then again in 2016. It was amazing how much worse it was in a mere 7 years.

During the 2016 visit there was a hobo smearing shit on the glass walls of the Starbucks. The employees acted like it was normal. A different hobo tried to attack the group I was with outside a bar at like midnight and then pissed himself in fear when the 6'5" 250lbs dude we were with threatened to rearrange his bones.

I remember taking my aunt and uncle to San Francisco back in the 80s when they visited (lived about 20 miles out), and my aunt commented about how it reminded her of a “clean NYC”. (She lived in NYC for a few years before moving out to NJ.) All shit holes now, sadly.

Years ago I talked to an old woman who grew up there in the early 1960s. She said she could go out dancing and having fun and walk around any part of SF at 2 am without fear of crime. Then hippies invaded, then gays invaded and it all went downhill.

Dressed well. Cared about their looks. Now everyone dresses in the cheapest shit China can make.
