"Models" = predictions of outcomes not yet occurring using only those assumptions likely to get my grant approved and my paper accepted for publication by a peer reviewed (lol) journal. The Nobel committee has never taken away an award, and tenure is tenure, so why do I give a shit if it's ultimately proven correct or not?
