There are no priests, no pastors, no reverands in Quakerism. Everyone is equal. Everyone goes to Quaker meeting, sits down, and shuts the fuck up for a good 15 minutes. After an appropriate period of reflection, anyone can stand up and say anything they want. The only real rules are that you can't immediately respond to someone after they say something. You have to reflect on it first. The general tenant is that everyone has a kernel of God inside of them, and everyone speaks the truth even if they do not know what they say. Definitely heard some people stand up and say some really interesting shit in Quaker meeting.
