That's odd because I thought supermarkets just materialize their stock out of thin air, not that those useless country folk would have anything to do with feeding cities.

This is why I got out of the city.

The cities are entirely dependent on a steady stream of supplies. Especially large modern cities, with millions of inhabitants.

So what happens when anything disrupts that supply chain? We saw some of that during Katrina. Looting, killing, refugee migration, government overreach. etc. Basically chaos. A lot of death. Roads jammed with cars out of fuel.

Just in time inventory systems stockpile at most about two weeks of supplies in the system.

This is also why I own a fishing rod and live near the fish.

Food is an excellent barter item.

So now the plebs are starving themselves and wreaking their business and economy. How is this not playing into the government's hands?

How is this gaining power and freedom for the people?

How is this stopping the corrupted government?

I seriously do not understand the end goal of this.

Wouldn't blocking off government buildings and or taking over local municipalities be more effective.

Maybe Refuse all service to any government employees.
