What time of day and what kind of establishment? If a fast food, or chain restaurant, no wonder.

It was a micro-brewery/restaurant in my now snobby town (grew up here, didn't used to be this way). Very liberal place in Illinois, ots of wealth. If this gives you any indication of the type of place...my son got tater tots and milk, I got a beer and lobster bisque soup and the bill was $32.

Edit: as far as time of day...I made the OP while I was sitting there.
