The first Europeans to land in Florida went ashore near what is now St. Petersburg Fl. A landing party of 300 set out to travel overland to what is now Texas. 3 years later 3 survivors stumbled into a mission. One of them was a black slave. The others had died from native attacks, disease, starvation.
Technically the first Europeans to land in Florida was way over 5000 years ago. The mummies of Florida proves this (Yes, there's mummies). They arrived before even Native Americans. Same type of mummies are found all over the country, especially in Nevada where those Native American's are trying to lobby the government to not ever talk about it again. Why? Because what would be the point of reparations if people find out Natives aren't "Native"?
I keep thinking now it's the sailors of Carthage after the video link here that showed they came to america over a 1000 years before anyone else recorded in english records with thier coin found in Colorado and all.
You mean the Phoenicians. But what I'm talking about is way older. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfOZg3X_GmA
