No, planes fly because of "lift" a low pressure area created on top of the wing by wing design and speed. I am an ex aircraft mechanic, you don't need any wind at all to fly.

A plane is two dimensional. If the Earth were a stationary plane, it would have no thickness at all. A sheet of paper is not a plane because it has thickness. You're equating a 3D Earth with a geometric concept that does not exist in the real 3D world. LOL at the moron.
