This hits home. Currently, I am building up a homestead with crops, animals and my own power (hopefully).

I just want to be left alone. Go ahead and accuse each other of racism and white supremacy, tweet things to each other and treat your employees like shit. I don't care. I don't care because I am not involved.

I'm doing the same. One thing I'm doing with power generation is buying solar panels and batteries enough to cover one item at a time. For example for my cell phones, rechargeable items I have two lead acid marine deep cycle batteries with 200 watts of solar panels. Then when I add a fridge I'll do a separate system for that. That way if we don't get sun I can use the rechargeable system for the fridge system until I can get enough sun to catch back up. The key is to itemize and keep separate systems so there is no single failure point. Also you can substitute rechargeable items for things like get a smaller cordless vacuum and keep the battery charged. Also we have learned to live without so many electrical items. When I go to people's homes it blows my mind how much leccy is wasted.

When people start dying off from the mass extermination mRNA injections, some of those people could be those who operate essential utilities and services. Just imagine how population reduction will affect basic needs. Hell, even temporarly plant/factory closures "due to covid" fucked up the supply chains.

Yes exactly. Not having redundant systems in place as a country is stupid. In my opinion all homes should be built with solar, wind and a backup generator. Even if it is all just back up systems.

I think you'd be better off tying them together with storage batteries, then you can reallocate power as necessary. But keep some backup cabling, inverters, etc. so you can split the system or replace failed components, and regularly test the backups.

Ive got nothing but the rented roof over my head and that which is in it. No family. If the hammer drops my bike gets loaded up within minutes and im in the hills in about 3 hours and in the high country in 5 in a bend in a river i spent a good portion of 12 years at with nothing but mountains and trees between me and town. There is no one to drag with me or leave behind any more. Here or a tent in the woods, not having any one else around aint a big deal to me. LOOOOOOOOOOOL toilet paper... knobs.

It would not be wise to try and take that away from me at this point. Im ready for what comes after. To give up and slit my wrists or saying stuff it go on then with the vaccine will end in the same way. Thats it. Stick a fork in ya. Ya done. We were told 2000 years ago no matter what gets thrown at you, you say no to that.

I wont be going to their door. But they wont be coming past mine.

I would, much rather, just slip away into the countryside go bushman for a while please dont make me have to spend time digging shallow graves for people i really dont want to mess with just so i can leave.

Being able to isolate from the world for a while would be very valuable when it's going crazy. There will be a period of chaos and high danger, followed by calm when people have died off or established some kind of hierarchy of order. Then it's safer to re-enter society.

Think about how far your hand can stretch. Think about all your possessions, your connections to other people and the influence you have on them. Our reach is incredibly limited. It's impossible to act on a global level without incurring a massive risk to the local.

Unfortunately there are economic and political actors who can act on a global level on a whim. To them the global is their local. These actions must be countered with actions on the same level. For that to happen, good people must be willing to take on massive risks.
