An over simplification when you consider the history of Germany and it's geographical location. That whole region can never be without war, their borders are always under threat. Authoritarian problems require authoritarian solutions, that's why libertarians are absolutely worthless when they acquire power. Principal and idealism and tolerance will have to be put aside because they are the primary means by which our enemies will destroy us. This is not a (((hollywood))) movie or a sporting match, there is no such thing as a gentleman loser in a life and death struggle. The right is reactionary and the harder the left pulls back on the pendulum the harder the reaction must be.
