It also used to be that if you grabbed a woman by the ass, she’d either giggle or slap you - none of this #metoo bullshit you see today. Women back then had thicker skin, because society was tougher in general.

Is there actual historical context for this? This is news for me.

Slappin' women's asses was about as innocuous as giving your bro a high-five (pre-corona). The last vestige of this type of social behavior (probably because they're the only manly men left in society) is construction workers catcalling sexy women as they walk by. Women used to almost see it as a badge of honor: if they got whistled at or hit-on walking by a construction site, it was affirmation of their desirability as a woman— and she'd probably brag about it to her friends, later.

It was a very different time; almost literally an entirely different country. Back when you could smoke in restaurants and hang faggots from trees, without getting hassled by anyone.

Waldo's at the Driftwood in Vero Beach, Fl allows smoking outside; they provide ashtrays.

Do you have any historical documents that prove this? Like I know Studs Turkle for example collecting memoirs of people through the Great Depression; these had documented what it was like to live through the Great Depression.

Also I do not agree with lynch mobbing people, that is the job of the justice system to issue capital punishment and specifically the manner of capital punishment. I also disagree with giving people the death penalty for being homosexual. Given the science we have in this era and where it is going, if people Homosexuality to be an issue, then do research to treat it effectively and let people freely choose to treat it. I take a neutral position on Homosexuality, however, do not shove it down the throats of children.

Is this a 1920's flapper thing or are you actually referencing White classical or historical literature?
