We are starting to see the first generation (Boomers) that was able to grow old as liberals due to the social safety net. So the old adage about how people are liberal when young and then turn conservative once they have kids, start paying taxes, etc. is out the door. People these days can stay in the ideological child-like bubble forever, especially women. Many women can go through life now without having to lift a finger in real work ever or deal with the consequences of anything.
