I always felt immigration and social norms changed dramatically after the JFK assassination, I've blamed LBJ and the Dems for most of that tectonic shift. We were in about a 40 year moratorium against mass immigration until then, to allow those who immigrated before to become fully Americanized over a couple of generations.
The question of immigration, let alone mass immigration, is a political topic of vital importance, that is treated as a trivial matter since far too long... To the point that until very recently, it was still considered as such by the public at large, it was considered as trivial, as of secondary importance, almost not that important, while in reality it's the future of the nation that is at stake, demography is everything... You take any given neighborhood, or town, if it's shit, it's because of the people living there first and foremost, because who pisses in the stairs or in the elevator? Who degrades/tags the walls? Who litters all over the place? Who isn't taking care, why are the lawns a fucking mess, why every single yard looks like a dumpster? Because of the people living there... You change the people you change everything
