Thing is, these same people called for trump's assassination 8 years ago, and ever since then. It was all over the place, in the Media, in Academia, everywhere. People were calling for assassination attempts on Trump, his associates, his supporters and even people who just weren't as communistic kike lovers as they were. Lukewarm "centrists" were to be crucified for "not being on the 'right' side of history". People DID die because of this rhetoric, and no one gave a shit or cheered if they ever learned about it.
But now, all of a sudden, everyone's being punished for saying the same thing they've been calling for for 8 years? Nah, I don't buy it one bit.
Threatening was free speech. Taking action was crossing the legal line. Bellyaching that they missed is also free speech, but crosses the moral line for most Americans of either party, businesses and institutions. Those businesses and institutions know the American people won't tolerate it and in turn fire those who will bring the moral shame to their enterprise, they are protecting themselves from the coming blowback.
