The opening arguments in the NY case were interesting. The prosecution lawyer giving the opening is literally the Dem's get Trump guy. He's been following Trump around from the Obama DOJ, to Fulton County, to the Biden DOJ and now to NY. Bragg previously declined to prosecute the Trump case, until this guy shows up, then it's back on.
In the opening arguments, the prosecutor spent a lot of time talking about some grand conspiracy to steal the election. Which was strange, given that the case does not involve any charges of conspiracy at all.
The defence opening was significantly better, I think, and among other things pointed out the Stormy Daniels owes Trump a significant amount of money (something close to $600k in total I think).
The problem for Trump will be that the jury is likely very biased and the judge is a partisan hack. So, the prosecution will likely have all of their objections sustained and the defence have all of their objections overruled. Any conviction should be clearly overturned on appeal. But the leftists wouldn't care that Trump was acquitted on appeal, they don't even really care that he isn't yet convicted. The mere accusation is enough for them.
