The problem is they are far, far more sophisticated than they were in the Weimar Republic. Today, for every potential White Nationalist leader there are 24 political actors/fake e-celebs pretending to be White Nationalist leaders. They split the audience and steer them back into some psyop like Qanon or MAGA. This is 90% of what you see on Gab. There's a spectrum of these actors. Some examples: Trump > MTG > Tucker Carlson > Stew Peters > Qanon Larpers > Vaccine outrage grifters > Dong Bakikego > etc. They also like to mix and match causes that you care about. You might support RFK Jr. because he's anti-vaxx, oh but wait, he's pro gun control. You like Trump's rhetoric about immigration, but he's pro-israel/jew, fucks over political dissidents, and is and pro-vaccine. Many such examples.
