Maybe Trump should've secured the election procedures during his 4 years. Too late now ....
The States have authority over their own election procedures.
It should have federal oversight. Basically election should have every kind of oversight. Trump could have demanded that such oversight be put into place. I'm pretty sure that's possible under executive order because an executive order can be used to tell anyone in the executive branch how to do their job. So it could instruct the FBI to just show up. Unless they want to deny the FBI access, but that's going to look suspicious as hell.
Add it to the "woulda coulda shoulda" wish list.
Yes exactly. However it wasnt even an issue to him, nor did he bother releasing a Nation wide memo for all States legislatures to prove the procedures are fail safe etc etc. Nor encourage the Repub members of legislature to do these things.
Many of us are aware it can only be done via the individual States legislatures and not via the US Court system or SCOTUS. Evidently Trump didnt know, nor did powell, lin wood, pillow guy or the forty plus other cases. How did they fck that up so blatantly?. It can only be determined and addressed in the States legislatures - yet they avoided the States legislatures and got millions in donations to conduct a 'Dog and pony'.
It wasn't a known big issue to We The People at the time. 2018, 2020 and now 2022 elections are showing We The People how much of an issue it really is.
