ya perhaps it is, I have read that rumble vids don't show if one uses win7, but I am a bit of a way away from migrating to Linux

Hello, i have update and a fix, you have to install the platfrom update Windows6.1-KB2670838-x64 to make rumble videos working (this update directx from 11 to 11.1)
I do not have idea why they use such update only now and not in the past years since is a 2013 package, unfortunately i can't install any update in my office, but i can overwrite some dll in case, however i have no idea what files this update replace.
Anyway, tried to my friend home and with this update Rumble now working again, no more black screen, hope it can help.

That seems really odd that windows would block the video. I was guessing you were using an unusual browser or extention.
