One strange vehicle, even for a concept.

Of course, the original bronco was geared towards rusting away to nothing in 4 years…

If you happen to have one, they are worth 40k+ today in just good shape. Wish I could have kept that 75 Scout Dad had.

The reason they're worth so much is the same reason an original Duster is worth so much - they literally rotted away.

I think after the Bronco II came out, I can remember seeing 1 original on the road. And it wasn't really "on the road," but the field vehicle of a guy down the road from us. The only reason he had it is he worked for Ford Assembly in Cleveland and got it cheap before he retired, and it didn't go anywhere.

Road salt was the death of many vehicles. Those down here in Texas ain’t in that bad of shape. Even ones that beat in a field for years.

But what a wondrous 4 years

So does Barbie or Ken drive this city truck. Asking for trouble with those glass doors and huge windshield, a single medium branch will have you air conditioning in a second flat. Dumb design truthfully, not off road till you look a door to a branch then it's off road since it won't be legal to drive on road.

It was a concept. Futariatic shit they did in the 70/80’s. It’s cool only because of that. But to have 40 years of wisdom to apply to that design.

So understand what it was.

Looks like an Aztec

You mispelled asstec. Intresting I knew a guy that Pontiac gave one to because he was big in a forum world.

He said, looks like ass, but actually one of the best vehicles he ever owned.

I still didn't buy it, but he knew cars.

Any car you still see on the road 20 years later was good shit. Toyota Echo. Saturn Vue. Aztec. All were apparently made pretty fucking well

Agree. Saturn still amazes me that there are so many fucking still running.

Interestingly enough, apparently I was big enough in one of the car scenes that Bob Lutz personally invited me to the Chicago Auto Show one year....about 10 of us had dinner with him and fucking John Manoogian and Tom Peters also.

Fun times....
