Absolutely. If you have to swerve, you're too close. I had to explain that one to the wife because she had a bad habit of following big trucks too close.
Her excuse was, "I can stop faster than they can." I explained basically this scenario in the video. What if he swerves out of the way and you suddenly have a stopped vehicle in front of you. Treat every vehicle in front of you like they could defy physics and stop instantly.
Luckily, she actually listens and adapts when it make sense.
It helps when you tell your good ideas to other guys to then tell her... Faster.
