How are the sleepers in those pickups? I've heard everything from they're trash to they're 10× better than a condo sleeper.
Also, I feel for yall. Not going to lie. If I'm near a hotshot just before a scale, I make sure they're in front of me... But I'm the first one on the radio cussing and bitching when I see a hotshot behind the scale. "Why are yall always picking on them?!!"
I’m staying in hotels right now. I may get a mattress and put in the back to save money. The problem is that your not supposed to idle too long with all that DPF bullshit or it will plug up. The exhaust temp can’t get hot enough at idle to burn all the crap off. That’s what I’ve heard anyway. Once the summer hits there’s no way I can sleep in the truck with no A/C so I’ll be back to hotels.
Delete that shit. Nobody except California, from what I've heard, checks that mess. I've worked for 2 different companies that had the entire fleet DEF deleted and never had a problem. It might cost you a few grand for the delete but you'll save that in no time by not buying that horse piss every three fuels.
Hell, one of those companies would even run red dye regularly. (I'm not recommending that though because DOT is known to dip a stick in your fuel tank.)
