Maybe it is true that CBD helps, but I think they look at the wrong place to find the mechanism. They think that reducing ACE2 lowers the chances of the virus. But lower ACE2 levels lead to more reactive oxygen species that destroy endothelial cells, leading to blood clotting (the virus does that by binding to ACE2). And blood clotting is not a known result of cannabis consumption.
