The two things here are so far apart that relating them is a bit of a stretch. You haven’t tried to do your homework. This reeks... hence my statement. Simply take some time to read about how feminized seeds are created by hitting a plant with collidial silver heavily when it flowers so that all seeds come out fem thus cloned and retaining genetics chosen AND seed free. Autoflower is simply a non-light sensitive strain. They are as similar as catfish and lawnmowers... but you know this.
So thats how they do it. Well the problem is I had about 20 seeds given to me. The guy said they were auto flower. Of the 20, 15 were male. FUCK! How is that even possible? And 2 have died off. So I'm down to 3. So now I'm actually shopping for them from websites who guarantee the seeds. I've read through the info about the differences but based on what I've seen the autoflowers suck. The fem sounds good but then I have to Jimmy with the lighting times. I grew 18 plants last summer from years or randoms I've collected. Everything turned out well just the quality is shit. So this time I got all the fertilizers and sprays and want the right seeds from good stock and am thinking autos are the way to go for me but don't want to buy 20 seeds and have 3 plants again. Im not fucking around here just thought this would be a good place to get some help.
Some hippies claim to have the wizardly ability to simply LOOK at the butt end of a seed and tell by its shape if it is m or f (since no weed plants identify as a helicopter). Probably some truth to that so you got a shit bag from someone with that skill. Simply feed the male plants to your rabbits, spray the females with silver and roast it. If its good then plant those seeds. If they suck then give them to some dumbass who doesnt know or plant them in the planter outside the local police station or other glownigger building. They always have 'Nature Bandaids' that are well watered and fertilized. I planted one in a mall years ago. It made the news. Pretty sweet actually.
I think the main thing for me is being able to grow them inside when its cold and bring thm out to the greenhouse in the summer. Or vice-versa without fucking them up. Right now we might have 7 hrs of daylight and in summer its about 16hrs. So its hard to grow something that is dependent on light duration.
Thats a great idea but I live in the middle of nowhere and the nearest town is an hour away. And most of those cops are the drug dealers. Shieet we just got a cell tower a year ago. I'd have to drive 40 min just to get a signal before that. Anyway so with autoflowers, ill always run the risk of a high% Male? But have the advantage of the plants not being photo dependent right? With the fems they are always female but if the lights get fucked up they could flip to male?
