Context:

I mentioned that it would be cool if Poal commemorated the Treaty of Paris. Ivan asked if people celebrated it what would the celebrations involve. So I started designing the holiday. I'll link to what I replied with and share some highlights.

Desserts are the main feature of Treaty of Paris day. Some small meal should happen first. Grilling is suggested because it's towards the end of being able to do that for some.

Desserts can adopt from winter/fall traditions and summer traditions. Pumpkin pie, apple pie, trifle is particularly seasonal with Treaty of Paris day, and so is red, white, and blue jello with whipped cream, though it can be replaced with red white and blue cake.

The main course is less set but one recommendation is burgers, sweet corn. It is typical that the desert course is larger than the main course. The main course is just to claim you ate something real. Incorporating bacon is not wrong.

Apple picking on Sep. 3rd is very traditional because it is the middle of apple picking season. Raspberries are also in season and can be used in your jello, cake, and trifle.

Another activity is decorating hard boiled eggs as humpty dumpty ( crazy King George III). American football is also good because it's American. Making an effigy of King George and beating him is also fun.

We can celebrate it together as a Poal holiday like Ocho de Poal.

It's also the day of starting your homemade hooch. Apple cider is a great one for the season, but all forms of brewing are acceptable.

Shooting is also a lot of fun on Sep. 3rd. Appreciate what you have.

Also some kids might like doing battle reenactments either as a game they make themselves or as a short play.

Reenacting Benjamin Franklin negotiating the treaty is better for nerdier kids.
